St. John the Evangelist School is located in Silver Spring, Montgomery County, Maryland. The school is part of the larger parish facility.

St. John the Evangelist School has ten classrooms that are considered homerooms. Along with these we have two more classrooms with partitions for small or large group instruction. We have a music room, a library, a multi-purpose auditorium/gym with a stage, a combined math/computer room, a science lab/art room, a new resource room and a room for our extended school program. We have a health room, faculty room, maintenance room, and kitchen. We have offices for our religious education director, the administrative assistant, and the director of development. In 2003, the principal's office was made into a conference room and a new principal's office was added to the school. A reception area has been designed at the front entrance for our receptionist. Our school is U-shaped with pre-k through grade three on one side and grades four through eight on the other. There is a grassed enclosure between the two wings. We have a large macadamized playground with limited grass area as well as an enclosed, mulched playground area with maintained playground equipment for the pre-k and kindergarten students.

The library/media center has air conditioning, carpeting, new furniture, and twelve state-of-the-art computers. The computer lab in the upper wing of the building also has eighteen state-of-the-art computers and is air-conditioned. All the classrooms, the computer lab, the resource room and the media center are networked with high-speed Internet access.

Nearby neighborhood parks and schools provide additional playing fields for our students for the sports and social programs.
