Food for Everyone

St. John the Evangelist celebrated the rich diversity of its parish community at the 6th Annual International Potluck Dinner on Saturday, October 21, 2006. Hosted by the Pastor’s Diversity Committee, the festive evening featured many homemade delicacies prepared by its parish family members from Ethiopia, Greece, Ecuador, Ireland, Indonesia, Peru and Portugal, to name a few. Guests browsed learning exhibits featuring cultural information and goods from India, Korea and Germany. The highlight of the evening was a program of entertainment with exotic dances from Ghana, storytelling of German cautionary tales and elegant young dancers from India.
