The "Faith and Scripture Group" was formed in November of 2000, and is open to all persons who wish to explore through reading and discussion the relationship between faith and the scriptures. Participants meet the second Monday evening of each month at the home of John and Betty Heffron. Primary references include the New and Old Testaments, Papal and other Vatican writings, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church, supplemented by commentaries and various writings on theology and spirituality by classical and contemporary authors. Discussion themes in past meetings have included the Gospel birth narratives, Dominus Jesus, the Passion narratives, and the Resurrection.
