St. John the Evangelist's main church is approximately 1/4 mile north of the Capital Beltway (Interstate 495) on Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, Maryland.

From the Capital Beltway, take the Georgia Avenue North, Exit 31, to August Drive. From Georgia Avenue, turn right on August Drive and then turn left at the first cross street, which is Woodland Drive. Drive past church on your left and St. John's School on your right. Turn left into parking lot.

St. John's Historic Church is on Rosensteel Avenue, a short distance west of the main church on Georgia Avenue.

If traveling north on Georgia Avenue from the Capital Beltway, turn left on Forest Glen Road to Rosensteel Avenue. Turn right on Rosensteel Avenue (you'll see a cemetery on the right as you approach Rosensteel Avenue).
