“… what happens when a person is touched by the light of the resurrection, and thus comes into contact with Life itself, with Truth and Love? …Speech is no longer adequate. He has to sing.”

Parish Music

“Sing to the Lord a new song for he has done marvelous things.  Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises.”   ~Psalm 98

The St. John’s music ministry is now offering a variety of ways for parishioners to fully respond to the Lord’s sacrificial Love poured out for us during the Mass.

Do you play a musical instrument or like to sing? To discuss where you might be able to offer your gifts in our parish music ministry, contact Director of Liturgical Music William Mattison at 301-681-7663, x17.

Sing, my tongue, the Savior's glory,
Of his Flesh the mystery sing;
Of the Blood, all price exceeding,
Shed by our immortal King,
Destined for the world's redemption,
From a noble womb to spring.
