Youth Home

St. John the Evangelist's C.Y.O. program is a Parish organization, the primary purpose of which is youth ministry. The C.Y.O. seeks to create a safe and healthy environment for the children of the St. John's community to grow as Christians through our sports program. Through the efforts of dedicated adults (C.Y.O. Board members, coaches, and adult volunteers), children develop the athletic virtues of teamwork, self-discipline, good sportsmanship, and competitiveness in a positive, Catholic environment.

Our program begins at the Pre-K 4 level with T-ball; at the kindergarten level we offer soccer, basketball, track, and T-ball. For all other grades, from 1st through 8th, we offer a variety of intramural and competitive sports including soccer, basketball, track, baseball, and softball.

Below are links to our Handbook and other sections of this site that will answer most of your questions.

C.Y.O. Handbook

The handbook can answer almost all your questions about St. John the Evangelist's C.Y.O. program. It contains detailed information about leagues, fees, uniforms, equipment, eligibility requirements, practices and games.

Information on Sports Offered by St. John the Evangelist's CYO

All Competitive level players (not Intramural) must meet certain Archdiocesan-prescribed eligibility standards. Generally, a player is eligible if he/she is a member of St. John's parish, with a valid baptismal certificate, or a student at St. John's school. Baptismal certificates are required for all Catholic competitive-level participants. Certain exceptions apply, but registrants must make clear eligibility circumstances at time of registration. For further information read the section Leagues, Age and Eligibility Requirements in the CYO Handbook.
